Residents can chat or watch television in the spacious common areas or simply relax in one of the center’s sitting areas. The large dining room can serve as an activity center in which residents enjoy special speakers, current-events sessions, hobbies, and much more.
Our Activities Director and staff encourage social, spiritual, and therapeutic recreational programs each week. Each resident is invited to participate in specially designed individual and group activities. Family nights, musical presentations, intergenerational activities and community trips are just a few of our favorites at Hackberry Creek Care Center.
Community volunteers are a valuable resource at the care center. Children come to the center to show off their homemade kites and test how well they fly. We have an outstanding group of dedicated volunteers who provide a myriad of services for our residents. And the scheduled outings are always enjoyable.

Public transportation services are provided by the local Caprock Community Action office. Arrangements can be made to take residents to medical appointments or have families members dropped off for a visit. Weekly transportation can also be arranged.
